1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StreamIt (“the Service”), including the Chrome extension, web dashboard, and API services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
StreamIt is a real-time captioning service that provides:
- Chrome Extension: Captures audio from Twitch and YouTube Live streams, transcribes it in real-time using Soniox API, and displays captions as an overlay
- Web Dashboard: Allows content creators to manage videos, upload content to YouTube, and generate automated captions using transcription services
- API Services: Backend infrastructure for audio streaming, transcription, and quota management
2.1 Platform Requirements
- Chrome browser (Manifest V3 compatible versions only)
- Supported streaming platforms: Twitch.tv and YouTube.com
- Active internet connection for real-time transcription
2.2 Limitations
- DRM-protected content or site policy changes may prevent audio capture
- Live stream latency depends on network conditions and Soniox processing time
- The Service may not function on all streaming content due to platform restrictions
3. User Accounts and Authentication
3.1 Account Creation
- Dashboard access requires Google OAuth authentication
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
3.2 Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must not share your authentication tokens or account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Subscription Plans and Payment
4.1 Plan Tiers
- Free Tier: Limited to 5 videos/month (dashboard) and approximately 30 minutes/month (extension real-time transcription)
- Pro Tier: Increased limits as specified at purchase (approximately 300 minutes/month)
- Unlimited Tier: Unrestricted access to Service features
4.2 Payment Processing
- Subscriptions are processed through LemonSqueezy
- By subscribing, you authorize LemonSqueezy to charge your payment method
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated
4.3 Billing Cycle
- Subscriptions renew automatically on the monthly anniversary of your purchase date
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Upon cancellation, your account will revert to Free Tier limits
4.4 Quota Enforcement
- The Service tracks usage in real-time (audio seconds processed)
- When quota limits are reached, real-time transcription will be suspended until the next billing cycle
- Unused quota does not roll over to subsequent billing periods
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Uses
You may use the Service to:
- Caption live streams for accessibility purposes
- Transcribe your own video content
- Generate captions for videos you have legal rights to
5.2 Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service to:
- Capture, transcribe, or distribute copyrighted content without authorization
- Violate Twitch, YouTube, or any third-party platform's Terms of Service
- Attempt to circumvent quota limits or access controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated systems to abuse the API or extension
- Transmit malicious code or attempt to disrupt Service infrastructure
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
5.3 Content Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for the content you capture, transcribe, or upload
- You must have necessary rights and permissions for any content processed through the Service
- You indemnify StreamIt against claims arising from your use of copyrighted material
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Service Ownership
- StreamIt and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MisileLab
- The Service is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other laws
- The Chrome extension is provided under the Misilelab License v3.0
6.2 User Content
- You retain ownership of content you create, upload, or transcribe
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the Service
- We do not claim ownership of your transcriptions or video content
6.3 Generated Content
- Transcriptions generated by the Service are provided for your use
- You may use, modify, and distribute transcriptions subject to your rights in the underlying content
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party APIs:
- Soniox API: Used for real-time speech-to-text transcription. Audio streams are transmitted to Soniox for processing.
- Google Services: Google OAuth for authentication; YouTube Data API for video management and caption uploads.
- Groq Whisper API: Used for offline transcription of uploaded videos. Audio files transmitted to Groq for processing.
- LemonSqueezy: Payment processing and subscription management.
8. Service Availability and Modifications
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible
- We may suspend access for emergency maintenance without notice
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
- Material changes to these Terms will be notified via email or in-app notification
- Features, quota limits, and pricing may change with 30 days notice
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of transcriptions
- Real-time captioning may contain errors due to audio quality, accents, or technical limitations
- The Service may not function correctly on all streaming content
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- StreamIt and MisileLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- We are not liable for failures due to third-party API outages or platform policy changes
11. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time
- Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or Acceptable Use Policy
- Paid subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StreamIt, MisileLab, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Content you upload, transcribe, or process through the Service
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
13. Copyright and DMCA Policy
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement, please provide our DMCA Agent with:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the infringing material and its location
- Your contact information (address, phone, email)
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act

14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
14.1 Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
14.2 Exception: Small Claims
Either party may bring individual claims in small claims court if the claim qualifies and you or we elect to do so.
14.3 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The arbitration shall take place in Santa Clara County, California.
15. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials, or failure of telecommunications, internet, or third-party API providers (including Soniox, Google, Groq, or LemonSqueezy).
16. Export Compliance
You may not use the Service if you are located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country. You may not use the Service if you are listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer the Service in violation of any applicable export laws or regulations.
